Restore the music! Budding musicians perform at charity gala dinner

Last night, our talented music students performed at the Restore the Music gala, hosted by at NOBU hotel in Shoreditch.

Restore the Music is a charity that believes: ‘music is a powerful tool for change because it unlocks potential. It opens up a superhighway to a different future.‘ Yet they understand that young people – particularly those facing the biggest barriers – are being denied this. Schools and families are faced with a daily struggle to make ends meet. They’re forced to prioritise – and young people lose out on all the benefits music brings. The result? The attainment gap widens and life-changing creative education remains out of reach.

Our students once again performed at the annual charity gala dinner. A real night to remember!

The City Academy, Hackney is proud to partner with Restore the Music, and is grateful for the funding they provide, to allow us to bring often life-changing musical experiences to our students and families.
