This academic year we continue with the three week menu cycle which includes vegetarian options each day, side dishes, fresh bread (baked on-site every day) and handmade desserts.

All students are seated formally at tables for lunch as part of our Family Dining service, and we expect all students to eat the healthy meal provided by the academy. There are vegetables, salads and fresh bread accompanying the meal, followed by a dessert or fresh fruit.
Students are not allowed to bring in their own packed lunch from home, snacks, sweets or crisps. If a student brings in anything forbidden by the academy, items are confiscated and they receive a detention.
Meals cost £2.70 per day, unless you are eligible for Free School Meals, and are paid for online using our payment portal, ParentPay.
A free breakfast is offered from 7.45 – 8.15 a.m. This provides an opportunity for students to prepare themselves physically for learning by eating a healthy breakfast and to ensure that they are punctual.
Free School Meals
All students at the academy benefit from a hot meal every day as part of our Family Dining service; this includes students eligible for Free School Meals. To apply, please contact Hackney Learning Trust or download an application form from their website. Follow this link for more information.
Aspens (our catering team)
We are Aspens Services, a market leading contract catering company and we specialise in school food. We only work in the education sector, so we know what our customers want.
Mixing this knowledge with an understanding of what’s hot in the food world, sparks creativity and excitement in our fantastic chefs.
You can be sure of seeing some innovative dishes on our menus along with the traditional favourites you’d expect.
Our team has been brought together because we all share our values, we all have the experience needed and are dedicated to make sure that we deliver the very best service to our customers.
We feel strongly about educating young people in the need to feed on fresh, wholesome food. Balanced diets and healthy choices help keep classroom concentration levels higher.
We want everyone who eats with us to look forward to their mealtimes, love what they have to eat and then have the energy for everything else that the day has to offer.
We don’t just provide food, we play our part to educate children and raise awareness about nutrition, food and where it comes from, so that they can make informed and mindful choices.
