A belated Happy New Year and welcome to the Spring term: we are confident it will be a productive and enjoyable one.
Parent Governor Election
There are two candidates for Parent Governor. To read candidate 1 statement click here and to read candidate 2 statement click here. Please cast your vote by completing the google for here. Your vote is anonymous. The vote opens at 3.30pm today and closes on Friday 24th January at 3.30pm. The result will be announced on Monday 27th January.
Additional Studies
Our Additional Studies programme begins again for all students the week beginning Monday 27th January. We have a fantastic range of extra-curricular opportunities for all our students including orchestra, robotics club and TAG rugby. Please note that years 9 and 10 will finish at 4.30pm every Tuesday from 28th January and years 7 and 8 will finish at 4.30pm every Wednesday from 29th January. Year 11 will finish at 4.30 pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday as they have additional intervention to prepare them for the forthcoming exams. Students will be given their new Additional Studies groups next week.
Attendance
One of the most important ways to support your child’s academic success is by making sure they attend school consistently. There is a clear connection between strong GCSE and A-level results and good attendance. If a student’s attendance falls below our expectations, senior staff will be reaching out to meet with parents and carers to provide the necessary support and ensure the best outcomes for the student. UCAS Deadline
Our year 13 students are fast approaching the deadline for UCAS (University or Higher Education) applications (Wednesday 29th January). If your child needs assistance with the application, they should contact their form tutor or alternatively email: Sixthformteam@
