Principal’s Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the Spring Term 2026. We have started the term strongly, with students settling back in well and engaging positively. We look forward to this continuing through the rest of the term.

Additional Studies Sessions

Additional Studies sessions will resume for all students from Monday 26 January 2026.

Please note the following finish times:

·       Years 9, 10 and 11 will finish at 4:30pm on Tuesdays

·       Years 7, 8 and 11 will finish at 4:30pm on Wednesdays

Attendance is mandatory for all students and is particularly important for Year 11 students as these sessions play an important role in helping them get the best exam results possible.

CREST Awards

We are pleased to celebrate the achievements of several of our sixth form students who have recently taken part in CREST Award projects.

·       Iyiola achieved a Gold CREST Award as part of a physics team project. The group created a programme to simulate particles in a magnetic field. Despite not knowing his team members beforehand, Iyiola worked collaboratively and found the experience enjoyable.

·       Charlie, Anis and Adnan also achieved Gold CREST Awards for their project on quantum thermodynamics. Their work explored how quantum systems could help engineers convert wasted energy into usable electricity.

We are extremely proud of all students involved.
