The City Academy, Hackney Celebrates Top Grades

Students celebrating their top grades: an incredible 48 grade 9s and 33 grade 8s between them. 

Students from The City Academy Hackney celebrated another year of great results, achieving an impressive haul of top grades.

John-Lucas Collins Fay achieved 7 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s and has won the highly competitive and prestigious Orwell Award. The award provides him with a fully funded scholarship to top public school, Eton College. John Lucas said: “I’m so grateful for all the support provided by the teachers. I’m really excited to be going to Eton College, but will always come back to see everyone at The City Academy, Hackney.”

Anna Sarchet, Principal, said “The students never fail to impress: once again this is an excellent set of results across the board and our students continue to make both staff and parents extremely proud.”
