Keeping Safe Online
We always want to ensure that students remain safe at all time including when you go online. If you have any concerns whilst you are online there are clear reporting routes in place so that you can raise anything you need to. If you have a concern about a peer pressure please also report this.
Reporting procedures may include:
- Completing the Anti Bullying Harassment form available on our website
- Email one of the safeguarding team on safeguarding@thecityacademy.org or contact your trusted adult.
- Visit Childline (childline.org.uk) for support and advice. You can start 1-2-1 chats online on the website or ring them on 0800 1111. There is extra help on their website to support your general mental health in these challenging circumstances.
- Use UK Safer Internet Centre (saferinternet.org.uk) – to report and remove harmful online content.
- Call or email Hackney Children’s Social Care, details can be found here: Hackney FAST (first access screening team) this service can take urgent referrals or give advice around concerns
In addition, our A Space counsellor is available to talk to students if required. Please let a member of staff know if you would like this support and we can arrange this for you.
