ALL SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS IN ONE PLACE

PAM Parent App allows you to see all communications from school in one place.

Assessment reports and any communication sent via the school to your account will remain in your user area for your future records.

The PAM Parent User Guide will show you how to log in and use PAM Parent, both as an app and a website.

It uses demo data that does not belong to any student at our academy.

Opening PAM

NOTE: The PAM APP is available on all smartphones or tablets on the app store, whereas the website is available on your web browser (e.g. Google, Safari, Firefox).

Logging In For The First Time

PAM Parent login details are sent to the registered parents/carers of the student within the first month of starting at the academy.

We use the email you have registered with us on the online admissions form, to send you your login details.

The email with your PAM login details would be sent from noreply@progressteaching.com

The email you would have received would provide you, your username and password.

Your username will be your surname.firstname (all lowercase).

Copy and paste these details into PAM.

The password you have been sent is temporary.

You will be asked to change it to something more memorable.

Once you input your login details, you will be sent a verification code to your email address.

Copy and paste it into Pam Parent, and then it will ask you change your password to something more memorable.

Once you have saved this, you will be asked to sign in with your new password.
Your password will now be hidden to our staff.

Forgotten Password

Please keep your login details safe. Should you forget your password and want to reset it, select forgotten password.

You will then receive a forgotten password email. Copy these details into PAM Parent.

If a message such as ‘unable to reset password’, or ‘user not found’ pops up, contact communication@thecityacademy.org and it will be reset for you.

Incorrect Username Or Password

Please ensure the PAM Parent portal you are using is for our academy, The City Academy, Hackney.

When copying and pasting information such as your password, please check that you are not also copying blank spaces.

Ensure you are only using lowercase letters for your username: surname.firstname

Unable To Login With Login Details

Please check your inbox then your junk folder, of the email address you registered with us, for any emails from PAM Parent.

The email would be sent from noreply@progressteaching.com

You can also copy and paste this email address in your search bar to search for the email

If the issue persists, contact communication@thecityacademy.org

Accessing Inbox

You can access your inbox from the ‘mail’ button in the menu on the top left-hand side.

You can also access your inbox in PAM Parent through the mail icon under your child’s photo.

The number will indicate how many unread letters there are.

Opening Letters

PAM Parent notifies you if you have a new letter, by sending you an email to the email address you have registered with us, or a notification on your smartphone or tablet if you are using the PAM Parent App.

You can click the link to read the letter and you will have to type in your login details.

To open a letter, select the tab. If the tab is in bold, it means the letter is unread.

If the tab is not in bold, it means the letter has been read.

Filling Out Forms

Forms are sent to you as part of a letter. To fill out a form, look underneath the letter.

Sometimes you will be asked to select one option, sometimes you can select more than one, and other times you may be asked to write information in the text box such as student allergies prior to a school trip.

Click the send button once the form is complete for your response to be recorded.

You will know your response is recorded if the send button disappears, and the form box shows your response only.

If you would like to change your response, contact communication@thecityacademy.org or the contact mentioned in the letter.

In your inbox, there is a column with symbols which show you which letters have forms.

It also tells you if the forms have been completed or not.

Opening Attachments

We sometimes attach a pdf attachment to letters sent to you on PAM.

To view this, click the tab in attachments.

Finding Out About Detentions

For detentions that are 40 minutes (Amber) and 60 minutes (Red), you will receive a letter in PAM on the same day. Detentions that are 20 minutes are logged in student planners.

Each detention letter in PAM will remind you how long we have kept the student in school for the session.

Accessing Reports

All reports are available on PAM Parent. You would receive an email in your email address registered with us, to let you know a report has been uploaded, or a notification if you are using the PAM Parent App.

Next, scroll down to find Student’s Reports. This is under student’s classes.

All reports:

  • Are PDF files
  • Have their date visible
  • Are clearly marked if they are unread

Once you click on the report, you can click Download.
