GCSE Results 2025 – The City Academy Hackney
City Academy Hackney is proud to celebrate another year of outstanding GCSE results, reflecting our ethos of “Excellence for All.” Our students have once again achieved outcomes well above national averages (2024) across a broad and ambitious curriculum.
These achievements build on our 2024 Progress 8 score of +0.56, significantly above the national average (–0.03), placing the Academy among the top-performing comprehensive schools nationally for student progress.
Our 2025 Results:
- Continued strength in English, with 70% of students achieving Grades 5–9, and 84% achieving 4+
- A strong proportion of students achieved high grades, with above 20% of studentssecuring five or more GCSEs at Grades 7–9, including English and Maths.
- 68% of students achieved Grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths
- 50% of students achieved Grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths
- EBacc entry: 76%, demonstrating commitment to a rigorous academic curriculum
- Excellent results across the curriculum, particularly in Music, Drama, Religious Education, History, and Spanish
